Cloud LABs
To facilitate online and classroom based training, computer lab systems are available for remote access. Using either an RDP client or a web browser.
Using Cloud lab offers several advantages:
Accessibility
Students and professionals can access the lab from anywhere with an internet connection.
Cost Efficiency
It reduces the need for physical infrastructure and maintenance costs associated with traditional computer labs.
Scalability
Institutions can easily scale up or down based on the number of users or the required hardware resources.
Learning and Training
Cloud labs allow students to gain hands-on experience with advanced tools and technologies.
Flexibility
Users can often access the lab at any time, providing greater flexibility to work around different schedules and time zones.
Enhanced Security
Sensitive data and work are stored on secure servers rather than individual devices, reducing the risk of data loss.
How does it work?
To help explain the Cloud Computer Labs, understand that there is a host computer (our lab server and remote desktops) and the remote user (you). When you remote into a system, the host computer allows a remote user to view the contents of the host computer’s desktop over the internet. The user then gains full control of the host computer. This includes the host computer’s hardware and software.
In order to be able to connect and use the Cloud Computer Lab, you need Remote Desktop client software or a web browser (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Safari). Students will need to use their ID and Password information to login to these services.
Once connected, students can start using our Cloud LAB.
